In 2002, Lawson, W4EMF, did this retrofit of a Drake L4B to three Russian GI-7B ceramic triodes.

Rather it is presented to illustrate how, with a little work and ingenuity, you can retrofit an older amp with the GI-7B tubes and regain new life and extended service.
